Chocolate Layer Cake

| Pour 3/4 cup hot coffee over 1/2 cup milk chocolate chips and stir to melt in a small bowl. Mix in large bowl: 1 1/2 cups sugar, 1 1/4 cups flour, 3/4 cup cocoa powder, 1 tsp baking soda & 1/2 tsp baking powder. In another bowl beat one egg then add 3/4 cup buttermilk, 1/3 cup oil, 1 tsp vanilla and the coffee mixture. Add to dry ingredients and combine. Pour into 2 8-inch lined round cake pans. Bake at 175C until toothpick comes out clean. Cool throroughly on rack. |

| Frosting: Cream 4 tbsp each of butter, cream cheese, cream and cocoa powder & one tsp vanilla. Add about 3 cups icing sugar to thicken to spread. |
